Pressa is a London-based UK DJ and producer associated with hardcore-informed breakbeat, rave breaks and the future-jungle/J-tek continuum. His work connects chopped break rhythms and bass pressure with the direct, physical energy of rave music.
Active from the late 2000s, he became part of the Top Drawer Digital orbit, a label and platform central to a strand of UK future jungle and hardcore breaks. Pressa has remained a recurring presence in that catalogue, including the label's TDD X project and its Abstractions series.
His early output includes the 2011 collaboration So Fast So Serious (140 Mph Future Jungle Breaks) with Bojcot Selectah, as well as appearances on the Future Jungle Expeditions compilations. Tracks such as “Fast Motion” and “Be With Me” place his productions in the early-2010s revival of jungle-derived breakbeat at 140 BPM and beyond.
The 2013 Mind Killa EP, released through Top Drawer Digital, presented a compact set of rave-focused cuts including “Killa Soundboy,” “Mind Blown” and “Rollin Out.” Across this period, Pressa's productions drew on hardcore's rush, jungle's rhythmic vocabulary and the tougher edge of club breaks.
Later material has continued to revisit and reshape those foundations. “Lazers,” first circulated on the Hardcore Energy 9 CD before receiving a digital release in 2021, and “Levels Of Depth” show the durable place of old-school rave reference points in his sound without treating them as mere nostalgia.
Pressa also contributed “Poppin’” to Digitally Mashed Presents: Abstractions in 2020 and “Rushin’ Over Me” to Abstractions 3: Jungle - Techno - Breaks in 2023. Those releases frame his work within a contemporary breakbeat language that can move between jungle pressure, techno-minded repetition and concise rave construction.
Alongside production, Pressa is the driving force behind Subsidance, a South London collective and party framework. The Subsidance Show on AAJA Music brought him together with Fox White, Choze and Shai Seven, reflecting a network built around DJs, selectors and left-field club music.
His 2025 collaboration with Drumskull, “Dream Machine,” extends that approach through a shared rave-oriented production, later remixed by Settle Down R.E.M, Borai and Drumskull. Pressa's catalogue remains rooted in the UK breakbeat continuum while keeping its focus on functional, high-impact dancefloor music.
