Sanxion is a London-based producer whose work runs through future jungle, hardcore breaks, rave and bass-led breakbeat music. Active in underground dance music for more than a decade by the mid-2010s, he has developed a catalogue shaped by heavy low end, sampled vocal hooks and direct, functional dancefloor construction.
His sound moves freely between breakbeat tempos and jungle-derived rhythms without treating those styles as separate traditions. Hardcore rave energy, tearout breaks, dubstep weight and future-jungle textures meet in productions that retain a clear connection to the sample-driven language of UK rave.
An early marker was the 2013 track “A Short Story About Love,” issued through Warehouse Wax Music on the album A Non-Euclidean Subspace. Its melodic, rave-aware approach established a side of the project that balances uplift and atmosphere with breakbeat-led momentum.
The 2014 Sanxion EP for Downbeat placed that approach firmly within the underground hardcore, rave, future jungle and breaks continuum. It also belongs to the period in which Sanxion became closely associated with the circle around Vinyl Junkie and the labels serving that crossover audience.
Sanxion has maintained a recurring creative relationship with Vinyl Junkie, one of the central connections in his discography. In 2012, Sanxion, Vinyl Junkie and Billy Daniel Bunter appeared on a Future Jungle special for Kool London, placing the project in a radio context tied to jungle revivalism and the continuing vocabulary of old-school hardcore.
That partnership also reached festival audiences when Vinyl Junkie Vs Sanxion, featuring MC Ribbs, appeared on The Temple programme at Glastonbury in 2014. The billed pairing reflects an ongoing studio and DJ connection rather than a fixed group identity.
Top Drawer Digital became another important platform. Sanxion was among the producers closely identified with the label's output over an extended period, contributing “Some Kind Of Magic” to TDD X in 2019 and later appearing on Abstractions 3 with the Vinyl Junkie collaboration “Hold The Beat” as well as “Been Losin.”
Mid-decade releases such as the 2015 Vinyl Junkie collaboration “Poison Me,” the solo Dope Stories EP and 2018's Inside The Machine showed the breadth of his approach. Rather than settling into a single tempo range, these records treat breaks, jungle and rave pressure as parts of the same club-music language.
Remixing has been another route through which Sanxion has engaged with that lineage. His work includes versions of 100me & Soul Sinners' “Dropship,” Mark Archer's “Armageddon,” MotivBreaks' “Free Your Soul,” and Tango & Ratty's “Tales from the Darkside” with Vinyl Junkie, linking contemporary bass production to established hardcore and jungle reference points.
The Enjoy The Daylight EP for Kniteforce Records in 2022 brought the rave dimension into sharp focus. “Gettin It,” “Science Of The Clams,” “Always Waiting” and “Scopin For Love” combine break-driven propulsion with playful titles and warehouse-minded energy.
Recent work has continued to alternate solo releases and collaborations. Distant Lands EP arrived on Remix Records in 2024, while records with Billy Daniel Bunter, Veak, Vinyl Junkie, Erire, FooR and a wider Ghetto Wax-associated cast have extended Sanxion's presence across jungle, breaks and rave-focused labels. His role in the contemporary breakbeat landscape rests on that flexibility: bass-heavy club music with an audible and durable link to hardcore, jungle and rave.
