GN

GN is the shared production credit of Miami DJs and producers G$Montana and NeuroziZ. The project belongs to the city’s booty-breaks continuum, bringing breakbeat programming into contact with the electro and bass traditions that have shaped South Florida dance music.

A 2017 remix of Phat Kidz’s “F.U.B.A.R.” for Gigabeat Records established the GN, NeuroziZ and G$Montana billing. “Hopes,” from the same early period and later remixed by Rob Cokeless, further placed the partnership in Gigabeat’s Miami-centred breaks network.

GN also appeared on Gigabeat Records’ 2019 compilation Game of Throwdowns, Vol. 2. Gigabeat subsequently became the project’s principal release home, accommodating both standalone GN records and credits that foreground its two members by name.

Tracks including “Chimes of wonderland,” “Given You All,” “L3V3L5,” “Enchanted” and “Hold It” trace the project’s continuing connection to the label and its electro-facing breaks catalogue. Rather than separating contemporary breakbeat from older local forms, GN treats Miami bass, electro and breaks as parts of one working language.

The 2020 single “We On!” made GN a recurring vehicle for the pair’s productions. “Time,” “Scream & Shout” and 2021’s “Just a Beat” continued that thread, while a 2025 remix of “We On!” by Mike & Sweet Charlie returned one of its earlier cuts to the Gigabeat catalogue.

Collaboration is central to the discography. “All Night,” released by Kaleidoscope Music, joins GN, G$Montana and NeuroziZ with Sweet Charlie; “Drop the beat,” “The Lowdown” and “City Groove” connect the project with Dmoney and Frank Bell. A parallel series with Slip187 includes “Disco Booty,” “Like that Bass,” “Let Me Get A light,” “I’m Just Fallin,” “Don’t Want To Go!” and “Places.”
