G$Montana is the Miami, Florida-based DJ and producer Geo Lopez. His breakbeat work belongs to a local bass continuum rather than an isolated revival: Miami references, low-end pressure and sample-led hooks run through a catalogue developed around GigaBeat and its associated releases.
Lopez had been active in Florida's music circuit since 1997 before establishing Project Mayhem as a promotion in 2004. That grounding in regional event culture predates the G$Montana project and places the name within a longer involvement in Florida dance music.
DJ Brazen gave Lopez the G$Montana name in 2014. The project's first public recordings followed in 2015, including the SoundCloud uploads "Say Hello!!" and "Chichi Get The Yeyo 37min."
"GSPOT," released by Gigabeat Records in 2015 with a Wes Smith remix, marked an early formal release under the name. It established the connection with Gigabeat that would become the principal thread in his recorded work.
The following year brought "Shake'm," a collaboration with NeuroziZ on The Pooty Club Records, with a remix by Phat Kidz. Lopez also issued the two-track solo release "O Face" through Teknical Records, showing that the G$Montana catalogue could alternate between individual productions and joint bills.
The NeuroziZ partnership quickly became central. Their 2016 Gigabeat releases "Ghetto Funk," "Dem Rude" and "Hot Beef Empanada" mapped out a recurring production relationship rooted in contemporary US breaks and Miami-bass vocabulary.
GN is the duo identity shared by G$Montana and NeuroziZ, not a separate solo alias. It gathers their individual and collaborative credits under one continuing breakbeat project, while allowing releases to be billed as GN, as the two producers by name, or as all three credits together.
"Touch Me," credited to GN, G$Montana and NeuroziZ in 2017, was an early statement of that shared billing on Gigabeat. Its remix release, including Seth Vogt's version, extended the track within the label's catalogue; "Southern Blues" followed in 2018.
Later Gigabeat releases such as "Make'm Bounce," "We On!" and "Just a Beat" kept the GN partnership active. The collaborators also appeared beyond that immediate sequence, including the NOLA BEATS release "Losing Myself" with Dmoney and BeatsMe.
A wider circle of collaborators includes Slip187, Dmoney, Sweet Charlie and Frank Bell. Tracks such as "Scream & Shout," "Places," "All Night," "The Lowdown - DMoney Remix 2" and "I'm just fallin" show G$Montana working through a connected US breaks network rather than solely as a solo act.
Recent titles including "Love Fya," "Here we GO," "Where's Your Love" and "I'm just fallin" continue the G$Montana, GN and NeuroziZ axis into the mid-2020s. Across those credits, clipped break patterns, bass weight and vocal or melodic samples remain the durable language linking the project back to Miami.
