DIRTY KITCHEN RAVE is a London-based independent bass label. On Bandcamp it describes itself literally as a "MULTI GENRE BASS LABEL" and lists breaks, UK bass, UK garage, bassline, rave, jungle, disco, drum & bass, breakbeat and dubstep. It is not a purist breakbeat imprint: it is a multi-genre bass label with a strong breakbeat core.
Documented public activity goes back at least to 2023. The official Linktree was created in May of that year, and Bandcamp records UNIVERSAL BREAKS VOL 1 as published on 24 December 2023. There is not yet a primary source that fixes an exact founding date, so it is more accurate to describe the label as active from at least 2023 to the present.
Afghan Headspin appears publicly as Label Manager and A&R. The official Linktree identifies merchandise as "DIRTY KITCHEN RAVE & Afghan Headspin (Label Manager)", and Spotify presents him in the same terms. He is the central name in the label's editorial management. There is not, for now, a solid enough source to call him the founder.
The format is mainly digital. The catalogue circulates through Beatport, Juno Download and Bandcamp, and the label also maintains a Discord, a podcast and merchandising. In 2025 and 2026 the release rate is very high: a constant flow of new titles and pre-orders from artists such as AceNoise, Drill Rocks, Xana, Devis Hard, DJ Kos, Vkyng, BLOW (SP), Danny Phr3ntic, Afghan Headspin, The Push and PERCYBASS. This is not a token imprint.
Collective compilations are a major part of its identity. The UNIVERSAL BREAKS, WE ARE DKR and DROP THE BASS series work as roster snapshots. UNIVERSAL BREAKS VOL 1 (2023) documents the visible editorial start; UNIVERSAL BREAKS Vol. 14 (2026) shows that the series is already well developed.
Within that line, rave en una cocina sucia, released on 10 January 2025, is especially useful for understanding the link with Spain. Beatport framed it as a Spanish landing: it brought together Rennie Pilgrem, Nitro (ESP), Afghan Headspin, Anuschka, Hexadecimal, Paket, SeekFlow, Paul Bassrock and other names associated with the breaks scene.
Dirty Kitchen Rave is not a Spanish label. Its base is London. But it has built a particularly strong connection with the Spanish breaks scene, both through artists and through merchandising. The official Linktree offers merch specifically for Spain as well as the UK and the USA, and the catalogue regularly includes Anuschka, Paket, SeekFlow, Nitro (ESP), BLOW (SP), Eskila, Fran Break, Javo Scratch and DJ Uncle Noah.
The recurring core of the catalogue includes Afghan Headspin, DJ Brownie, Danny Phr3ntic, Gruv42, PERCYBASS, DJ Kos (US), J-Break, Prato, WeZ WhaTevR, Kid Ellipsis, Vkyng and Brothers Bud. A representative individual release is Danny Phr3ntic's Legacy EP, published on 25 March 2026 and clearly oriented toward breaks, UK bass and UK garage.
For Optimal Breaks, DIRTY KITCHEN RAVE is best understood as a London multi-genre bass label with a strong breakbeat core: active at least since 2023, with Afghan Headspin as Label Manager / A&R, well-developed compilation series, a very large 2025–2026 catalogue, and a real — though not identity-defining — connection with the Spanish scene.
