Ook Records

Ook Records is the independent label built around Spanish producer Twook. Its catalogue sits in the overlap between breakbeat, dark 2-step, UK garage, UK bass and deep, 140-informed dubstep.

Twook is identified as the label's founder and CEO, and Ook functions primarily as the outlet for his own work rather than as a broadly documented multi-artist roster. Its visible release activity begins in 2025, although a precise founding year has not been established.

The label's musical identity follows Twook's production language: tense broken rhythms, bass pressure and dark garage-derived structures. Its tracks are aimed at the club and DJ ecosystem while retaining a deliberately shadowy, cinematic atmosphere.

That atmosphere is reinforced by a horror and masked visual vocabulary associated with Twook's wider project. Titles such as "Demonfucked", "Slasher", "Phantom Line", "Nullfire" and "Stop the Rot" place the catalogue in a darker strain of contemporary breaks and bass music.

"Power Full" was an early clearly documented Ook release in January 2025. Subsequent Twook releases including "Facesun", "Contagion", "Dark Siren", "Immortal", "Ragga Voodoo", "Profaned Prayer", "Scar Bass" and "Gryslou" show a sustained sequence of compact digital releases.

The catalogue does not treat genre labels as rigid borders. Breakbeat is a central frame, but dark 2-step and UK garage patterns, UK bass weight, dubstep low end and occasional ragga-coded references all inform the label's working territory.

DJ Karpin is the other documented artist directly connected to Ook Records through the 2025 collaborative single "Bass Relay" with Twook. Beyond that release, the available evidence points to a catalogue concentrated around Twook rather than an expanded stable of regular contributors.
