The Pattern Sound is the project of Manuel Romero Orellana, a DJ and producer working squarely in contemporary breakbeat. The civil name is attached to the alias in full on Drastic Pattern, issued by Triple Seven Recordings on 3 October 2025, where he is credited as musician, songwriter and producer. Later releases such as Back To The Pattern, Experiens Pattern and Time To Pattern credit him again as Manuel Romero, composer and producer.
The public footprint is clear from 2024. That November he delivered a guest mix for 45'5, presented there as a young DJ and producer who had already shared bills with the show's host. Store titles from the same year, including Dead Silence on Triple Seven Recordings, place the alias in circulation before the denser Samay run.
The music sits in breakbeat and breaks with a UK bass lean. Pattern's Contact, Unsociable Pattern and Buster Pattern are filed as Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass, and the recent catalogue stays inside that lane rather than spreading into adjacent genres. Tempos cluster around 134–136 BPM: Drastic Pattern at 134, Pattern's Contact and Unsociable Pattern at 135, Night Pattern and The Pattern Dramatize at 136.
The 2024 guest mix framed the project through power, a dark edge and a clearly breaks-led approach. That reading matches a club-facing catalogue built on marked low end, minor-key writing and a production style aimed at the floor rather than at crossover formats.
Samay Records is the main house of the 2025–2026 catalogue. Pattern's Contact, Buster Pattern, Unsociable Pattern, Time To Pattern, Back To The Pattern and Experiens Pattern all appear there, along with later Samay titles such as Pattern Boladão, Pattern Format and Silence Pattern. The association is discographic: there is no evidence that he founded the imprint or sits on its staff.
The project is not locked to a single label. Triple Seven Recordings issued Drastic Pattern. Sound Perfect Breakz Records carries Night Pattern and The Pattern Dramatize. Creative Sound Records issued Inner Pattern in March 2026. Together those imprints describe a working digital-breaks network rather than a run of unlabelled self-releases.
Back To The Pattern, released by Samay on 10 April 2026, is the most substantial statement so far: seven tracks — Back To Pattern, Crafted Pattern, Fuck Pattern, Pattern Face, Pattern Glitch, Pattern Protection and Phases Pattern — all credited to Manuel Romero as composer and producer. Time To Pattern, on 4 February 2026, had already set out a four-track EP (Time To Pattern, Fractal Lines, Loud Pattern, Pattern Strokes).
2026 is a year of high output. Inner Pattern follows in March on Creative Sound Records; Experiens Pattern in May on Samay; and Control The Flow, with Olivobreaks, belongs to the same year. Within specialist breaks charts, Panic Pattern has been the title with the strongest recorded movement, with Blaze also circulating — useful as evidence of traction, not as a fixed ranking.
The Pattern Sound is best read as a current breakbeat DJ and producer whose documented public work runs from 2024: dark, bass-heavy club breaks, a principal home at Samay Records, and a 2026 catalogue already organised around EPs rather than isolated singles.
