The Legends is a breakbeat group from Seville. It was formed in 1998 by DJ Drycool, Sergio Legends, DJ Kn and DJ Split, and it ended in 2005. From that first cycle they speak of five 12"s. On the sleeves the name appears as Legends and as The Legends. Discogs splits the credit across separate entries; the group claims the Totem Tanz releases and the Máximo Volumen 12". They are not the other projects that have used the same name.
From that first cycle, the dated references are three Totem Tanz Records 12"s: "Iron Fighter" (TT002, 2001), "Kabva / Breakout" (TT006, 2002) and "M.D.A. / March, The 7th" (TT005, 2002). They speak of more than twenty-five gigs with artists from Spain and from abroad. The specific bills are not listed here.
It started again in 2021. The current lineup is DJ Drycool and Sergio Legends. The return brings reissues of the first cycle and new material, in the style they describe as melodic and built on heavy bass. In 2022 Totem Tanz issues Iron Fighter (20th Anniversary Edition), TT002X, with "Iron Fighter", "Evolution", "Phantom" and "XX1". "Secrets" comes out on the same label in 2025 (TT018). "Back To Belive", on Máximo Volumen Records, is a 12" with a breakbeat mix and a techno mix; the Discogs entry has no year. The most visible recent cut is "M.D.A (Guau Remix)", on 83, 15 October 2025, at 135 BPM. Beatport included it in the October 2025 Breaks/UK Bass shortlist and in Best of 2025 for that genre.
