SL 83

SL 83 is a breakbeat producer, DJ and selector whose public catalogue under this name starts in 2025. A full civil name, city or country is not published here. Beatport's artist page presents the project as SL 83 aka Sean and states a background in 1990s jungle, hardcore and hard dance, record collecting and DJing while still at school, then small club promotions. The same official text says he formed part of the production and DJ collective Schema — later SKMA — from the mid-2000s for well over a decade, and that in 2024 he started afresh under the SL 83 alias. That prior collective chapter is recorded as Beatport's wording, not as a reconstructed SKMA discography. A hometown is not stated on the page; a DIRTY KITCHEN RAVE credit does not, by itself, make the project British.

The documented SL 83 storefront begins in May 2025. Beatport dates the debut to that month on We Are DKR, Vol. 6 (8 May 2025, DKRLP023), the Dirty Kitchen Rave compilation series; the SL 83 cut there is First Contact. DIRTY KITCHEN RAVE is the main current house. Liquid Night followed on WE ARE DKR Vol 11 (20 May 2026 on Beatport), filed as Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass at 132 BPM. Falling and Falling (Contagion (UK) Remix) were issued on the same imprint on 19 August 2026. End Of Days and What? circulate in his own mixes before or beside those store dates. Techno, garage and jungle are not used here as headline tags: the published core is Breakbeat, Breaks and UK Bass.

Breakbeat Transmissions is part of the public identity, not a side note. He hosts the podcast with the stated brief of minimal chat and maximum music, covering all corners of breakbeat. Episodes are on Podbean from October 2025 (04 on 11 October; 05 on 28 October) and continue through 2026: 08 on 16 April, 09 on 15 May, 10 on 26 June and 11 on 29 July. The selections run wide — Krafty Kuts, Specimen A & Ivory, Yo Speed, Paul Bassrock, Vazteria X, Future Funk Squad, Ctrl-Z, DJ Zinc, Guau, Coofu, Nosk, Obsidian Wave and others — which is selector and prescriber work, not a claim that those names are collaborators. His own productions sit inside the same shows: Liquid Night, End Of Days, What?, Falling, and on episode 10 the Contagion remix of Falling, which shows the records and the programme as one circuit.

In 2026 he remains fully active: DKR singles and compilations, an external remix on Falling, and a regular Breakbeat Transmissions schedule.
