Scott Nixon is a British DJ and producer promoted on Finger Lickin' Records as the UK’s notable pro-snowboarder/DJ hybrid: a breakbeat selector with heavy scratch skills, linked to the label’s touring and club circuit from Fabric (debut November 2005) to Snowbombing and international snowboard events. Born from Jersey (Channel Islands), he began DJing in 1991, promoting local nights and playing alongside names such as DJ Hype, Grooverider, Fabio, Plump DJs and Stanton Warriors; his style is described as a mash of fat, funky, grimy breaks with extensive scratch blending, drawing on rave, hardcore, jungle, drum & bass and breakbeat. Based in Chamonix, he combined mountain culture with club work — including the Winter Bar Knowledge residency and a reported world-record high-altitude DJ set in Pakistan (2006 era). Press and mixes appeared via Knowledge Magazine (cover CD “Itchy Scratchy BreakBeat Mix”, January 2006) and Radio 1’s One World. On Finger Lickin’ he is associated with the Shimon & Nixon singles on the label (e.g. “I Like You”, “Around The Edge / Whitenoise”, “Sexy Beast / Brainstorm”) and appears on compilations such as “Finger Lickin’ Presents Freshtraxxx 2”.
