BNM (SP)

BNM (SP), also known as Break Nunca Muere, is a Spanish breaks project closely associated with Music Dark Records. Its catalogue maps a sustained presence in the Spanish breakbeat circuit, from mid-2010s remix work to a renewed run of releases during 2023 and 2024.

An early documented appearance came with “Anxiety (BNM (SP) Remix),” included on Paket’s Anxiety EP for Music Dark Records in 2014. That remix introduced BNM (SP) within a label network that would remain central to the project’s subsequent output.

“No Play No Gain” followed on Music Dark Records in 2016, establishing the BNM (SP) name through an original solo production rather than a remix credit. It was followed by a productive 2017: New Life EP brought BNM (SP) together with Olympus, while APEX EP paired “APEX” and “Cocoino.”

The 2017 releases define an early collaborative and label-focused phase. “Cocoino” was listed by Beatport in its Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass category, a classification that also places BNM (SP)'s work within the platform’s contemporary breaks taxonomy.

After that first sequence, the project returned to Music Dark Records with a cluster of 2023 releases: “Gangsta,” the two-track Variants release with “Welcome To Back,” and the standalone tracks “Another Time” and “Zero.” Together, they marked the return to a more regular release schedule.

The 2024 material extended that run in EP form. Another Dimension coupled its title track with “New Era,” while Open Your Eyes collected “Open Your Eyes,” “More Credits,” “Old Style” and “Different” across four tracks.

BNM (SP) also appeared alongside Paket, Jormek and ChinoBreak on Music Dark Records’ Best Tracks Compilation (Album). Tracks from the 2024 releases were subsequently included on the label’s Compilation Of Tracks 2024, reinforcing the project’s place in a shared Music Dark catalogue. BNM (SP) has additionally been associated with Paket and Epidemic through The Criminal Bass group identity.
