agentCopy is the project of Mikael Pettersén, a Swedish producer, songwriter and occasional vocalist based in London. Beatport states that he was born in Sweden and later moved to London, and that his music draws on a range that runs from heavy bass music to post-hardcore.
The civil name is attached to the alias without ambiguity. Unfriend, released in 2023, credits Mikael Pettersén as composer. Better When You're Here, from 2025, credits him as vocalist, composer and producer. Let's Go!, from 2019, carries copyright in the same name.
The commercial catalogue begins in 2019. Early titles include Keep My Pace in April, Let's Go! in August and Proud of Being Wrong in December. From there the project publishes with regularity rather than as a one-off digital experiment.
The following years fill out a steady run of singles: Gone, Dreaming, Save the Day, Epic and You Don't in 2021; Better Days, If You Can Stay and This Time in 2022; Unfriend and This Moment in 2023. Unfriend sits at 130 BPM in breakbeat and is one of the clearer documents of both the name behind the project and its central rhythmic identity.
The catalogue is not exclusively breakbeat. Shinkansen, his remix of Bovine Boy, and Sub Goes Boom are filed as Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass. Better When You're Here is drum & bass. Fade Away is dubstep. Breakbeat remains a core part of the project, but the discography also works drum & bass, dubstep and the wider bass field.
That spread matches a background that the project itself frames in punk and hardcore terms. The move from Sweden to London is tied to a later turn toward breaks, drum & bass and dubstep, and the residual energy of that earlier language is one of the more useful ways to hear the aggression in the productions.
ONE7AUDIO is the main house for his recent breakbeat work. Between 2023 and 2024 the imprint carries Rib Pain (Woke Up Early Mix) with Lady Shade, London (What The Flip Mix) with Terrie Kynd, Sub Goes Boom with O.P.Groover, Many Years Later and Got To Move. Sub Goes Boom is classified there as Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass. Got To Move has also circulated in breakbeat and UK breaks sessions alongside names such as Rasco, Shade K, Paket and Hankook.
Those collaborations place agentCopy inside a working DJ circuit rather than as an isolated digital alias. London (What The Flip Mix) is the clearest link to Terrie Kynd. Other documented credits include Urbanstep on DIMINISH 4, from DIMINISHING RETURNS, and related work with LARENGGO and Misfit on the same release. Remixes include Bovine Boy's Shinkansen and Tigress's Alive.
In 2025 the project leans further into bass music, drum & bass and dubstep, with titles such as Smashed Into The Ground, Better When You're Here, Fade Away and the DIMINISHING RETURNS appearance. Better When You're Here is also the track that makes the vocalist credit explicit: agentCopy is not only an instrumental producer.
2026 remains active. Alive (agentCopy Remix), for Tigress on Lab Records, is dated 30 January 2026, and Until The End belongs to the same year. Within the present bass and breaks field, agentCopy is best read as a Swedish producer working from London, with a hardcore inheritance, a documented breakbeat centre on ONE7AUDIO, and a catalogue that also takes drum & bass and dubstep as working ground.
